Ghanaian long-distance swimmer Seidu Dauda Bayigo is preparing to make history by attempting to swim from Ghana to the United States (USA), aiming to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest swimming marathon by an individual.
The announcement was made through Dauda’s TikTok page where he shared a promotional flyer for his upcoming Swimathon, scheduled to begin on June 6, 2025.
In a separate social media post, Bayigo was seen in a full swim costume sporting a wetsuit and dark googles while training in a local river.
